So, why Take Two?
Take Two: A Journal for New Beginnings acts as a healing tool that can help you develop inner resilience, the ability to encounter the elements of a storm whirling all around us and still turn our faces into the wind.
An energetic allowance inside of us that, over time, empowers us to bravely capture the beautiful memories along with the unbearable sorrows.
To gather together all of the components that have shaped our life experience, to build on that wisdom—whether welcome or unwelcome—and still move forward.
And to know that this healing, this process of moving through hard times, doesn’t end here: it’s a continual, lifelong process.
To begin to understand that perhaps this particular story isn’t happening to us—but for us.
What can you expect from Take Two?
Take Two: A Journal for New Beginnings includes four sections that guide you through an arc of transitions, those that loosen us at the seams, and those we may encounter day to day.
We use the seasons loosely as a guide, because there’s a natural energetic rhythm in our ability to confront challenges. Take Two: A Journal for New Beginnings begins by taking you inward, where you can reflect and spend time in observation (winter), before we can begin to rebuild a life that looks changed (spring). Then, just as it is in nature, summer encourages us to move outward, to find meaningful ways to connect with others.
Section I: Surviving Change
Section II: Building Your Inner World
Section III: Finding the Courage to Move Forward
Section IV: Reconnecting
Writing prompts that guide you through internalizing each of the recommended tools.
Quotes that support the content of each section.
